With increased insight of the importance of the climate issue for both society and businesses, the demand for our products and services are growing. The importance of not only reducing our emissions but also actively bind carbon dioxide form the atmosphere to meet the 1,5-degree target is scientifically proven, and we need to act now. Plenty of things are happening in this field and we at ZeroMission have the ambition to stay at the frontline of the market and develop along with the science.


Your role

We are looking for a sourcing manager who can help build our portfolio in selecting certified, high-quality carbon offsetting projects. As a sourcing manager you will report straight to the CEO. You will work closely with our purchase manager, sales team, our international development projects, and partners.


Typical tasks will include

  • Finding and evaluating carbon offsetting projects based on their quality, certification and price and relate it to the latest standards and market developments.
  • Negotiate terms and prices with projects or project developers.
  • Create cost estimates and forecasts for each procurement.
  • Continuously update our sourcing planning, strategies, and risk policies.
  • Continuously inform yourself and the ZeroMission team about the current carbon offset market.
  • Represent ZeroMission at conferences, in project- and partner meetings etc. to initiate and develop international and national partnerships and build a supplier network.
  • Contribute to the team with sharing knowledge, ideas, and a good spirit.


Your qualifications

We want you to have the motivation and belief that we together with our clients can help stop the course of climate change. We highly value your personality and motivation to learn. Below are some of the qualifications we are looking for in this position:

  • University degree required – engineering/sustainability studies is considered a plus
  • You have a few years of relevant work experience in the (voluntary) carbon market, commodity purchasing, project development or similar areas
  • Experience from analysing markets and/or strategic market work.
  • You have good communication skills and a keen sense of how to approach project partners and building relations.
  • You have a very good command of English and Swedish. Additional other languages such as Spanish or French is seen as an advantage.

To succeed in the role, we also believe you have a strong motivation and creativity to develop yourself and our business. You enjoy working in a team but take individual responsibly for your area of expertise and work.
