Opus – first in Sweden to achieve carbon neutrality according to standard

March 25, 2022

For Opus Bilprovning controlling emissions is central to their business. But they wanted to do more.

Opus wanted to become carbon neutral and ZeroMission uses the PAS 2060 standard to regulate this. The standard requires that all greenhouse gas emissions from all parts of the value chain are calculated, reported and offset To fullfil this requirement Opus Bilprovning calculates, for instance, the average emissions from of customers’ journeys to and from the testing centres.

An inspiring example of how we as a company can shift our perspective to take responsibility and help by stepping outside the box.

Opus works continually to reduce the emissions over which it has direct control over, but emissions arising, for instace, from the cars their customers choose to purchase, are more difficult to influence. Opus offsets for the total emissions by investing in tree-planting and rainforest conservation in the Amazon and the Pacific Islands.
