By combining several well-documented methods of water purification, Solvatten can provide between 11-33 liters of drinkable water per day, as well as hot water to use for both personal hygiene and cooking. At the same time, Solvatten provides climate benefits by reducing the need for firewood, charcoal and other fuels.

The project was initiated in 2013 by ZeroMission and Solvatten jointly. Together with myclimate and Ecotrust, we offer carbon offsetting through Solvatten. The project is validated and certified in accordance with the Gold Standard certification.
