Fossil fuel emissions need to be reduced urgently. In line with the Paris Agreement's 1.5 degree target, all emissions need to be halved every ten years until 2050. Unfortunately, it looks like the temperature target has already been exceeded, which means that the amount of greenhouse gas emissions needs to be reduced in less time.

Science Based Targets Initiative
SBTi is an initiative built around targets in line with the 1.5 degree target. The initiative is a collaboration between CDP, UN Global Compact, WRI and WWF. A large number of companies have now signed up to and had their climate targets approved under the initiative.
We help you map your emissions across the value chain according to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. In addition to accelerating emissions reductions, long-term climate targets create value for companies by driving innovation, increasing profitability and being well prepared for future environmental legislation.
At ZeroMission , we also advocate what SBTi calls Beyond Value Chain Mitigation, BVCM, i.e. taking responsibility for your emissions by financing climate projects outside your own value chain. To this end, we offer credits in projects that reduce, prevent or sequester CO2.

Science Based Targets for Nature
ZeroMission also supports SBT Network's goals for a just and sustainable future and is therefore pleased to be part of Science Based Target for Nature's (SBTn) corporate collaboration and recommendation program.
This means that ZeroMission is a recommended service provider for companies that want to set SBT targets for nature and want to get qualified support in their target setting journey. ZeroMission's climate strategists guide you through the entire SBTn process, from impact mapping to target validation. We also offer training, advice and support on the latest developments in SBT for Nature.
SBTn includes a comprehensive framework designed to help companies assess and prioritize their environmental impacts, with a specific focus on biodiversity, marine, freshwater and land. For effective goal setting, we follow the SBT Network's five-step process which includes assessing the company's significant environmental impacts, prioritizing key action areas, measuring and setting specific targets, taking concrete actions to reduce impacts, and finally monitoring and reporting progress.
