At the end of September, ZeroMission held a very well-attended webinar where we went through CSRD and our sustainability platform Our Impacts. Here we share a recording of this.
CSRD - that combination of letters that is currently giving many sustainability managers and business leaders a lot to think about. With good reason, you might think. Because the purpose of CSRD is to tighten up and regulate how companies should report their sustainability work from the turn of the year. For those who have not already tackled sustainability work, the four letters will mean a lot of work. Getting to grips with the regulations, adapting your organization and creating routines for reporting data from 1 January 2024 is what is on the table now.
ZeroMission's offering includes part of this work, namely the sustainability platform Our Impacts where we have helped with almost 1,000 specific climate accounts since 2011. Our focus is on helping our clients to reduce their climate impact. The platform, on the other hand, is fully adapted to handle other sustainability factors. It is also fully adapted to CSRD , for example by being able to be third-party audited.
We have had the privilege of working with companies that have been early adopters in reducing their climate impact, both by calculating emissions annually in order to reduce them, but also by taking responsibility by sequestering carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through reforestation projects. We hope that, from a regulatory perspective, companies and organizations will now see and understand that climate change is already here and that the new regulations will aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Sustainability reporting and climate accounting will soon be as self-evident as financial reporting. We hope that reporting will not just be done for its own sake, but to actually want to reduce their own greenhouse gas emissions. It's the new green!
