PRESS RELEASE
Nordic Climate Advisory Group launched - a new expert group to standardize climate calculations
The Nordic Climate Advisory Group (NCAG), an expert group bringing together leading sustainability reporting consultancies in the Nordic region, has been launched. The group, which was founded by the Exponential Roadmap Initiative together with other leading consultancies, aims to harmonize greenhouse gas calculations to accelerate companies' transition towards net zero emissions.
The Expert Group has been established to address the challenge of the inconsistencies that sometimes exist in how agencies interpret and apply existing climate accounting standards and methodologies, such as the GHG Protocol. By establishing a common practice, the group can contribute to increased transparency, reliability and fairness in the climate advisory industry.
Together with ZeroMission and Exponential Roadmap, the following organizations are involved in the collaboration: 2050 Consulting, Atmoz, AFRY, Climate Hero, Go Climate, Normative, South Pole and U&WE.
The work of the group will focus on the following areas:
Anton Claésson, Climate Strategist at ZeroMission, emphasizes the importance of the initiative: "This initiative is needed, there is a need and definitely a value in us sitting down and doing this together".
ZeroMission sees this initiative as an important part of its commitment to delivering high-quality and trusted advice that drives real climate change. The strategic collaboration underscores the importance of cross-sector partnerships to solve complex global challenges.
