Press release: ZeroMission reaches new milestone with six million carbon credits sold

September 18, 2025

STOCKHOLM - September 18, 2025

ZeroMission, a leader in corporate climate action and reseller of carbon credits, today announced that it has sold over six million carbon credits since 2006. This milestone highlights strong demand from companies that want to take holistic responsibility for their carbon footprint through projects that create positive impacts beyond carbon reduction alone.

The majority of the credits sold, over 75%, are certified to Plan Vivo, based on nature-based climate solutions approaches. Plan Vivo focuses on putting people and ecosystems at the center of carbon offset. The projects thus contribute not only to reducing emissions, but also to increasing biodiversity, improving living conditions and preserving local ecosystems.

"Our work is about connecting businesses with projects that make a real difference on the ground. Plan Vivo are an excellent example of how it is possible to work towards achieving ambitious climate goals while contributing to positive social and ecological development.", says Henrik Juhlin, CEO of ZeroMission.

A prominent example is the Trees for Global Benefits climate project in Uganda, which is one of ZeroMission's very first partnerships. The project has helped thousands of farming families to diversify their economy and increase their resilience to climate change.
