ZeroMission organizes seminar during Almedalen Week

June 9, 2025

Sustainability requirements for Swedish companies continue to increase and many find the transition challenging. What is sustainable energy, what do the new regulations look like and why is it important to anchor climate work internally? The software company EcoOnline and the sustainability consulting company ZeroMission will find out during a seminar in Almedalen on June 25.

PRESS RELEASE

EU Directive CSRD is expected to significantly tighten the requirements for sustainability reporting and is already affecting many companies, although Omnibus has slowed down the roll-out in terms of time. For Swedish companies, this means that in many cases they are facing a major transition, but the rules on environmental reporting are perceived as complex, difficult to understand and in some cases challenging to comply with. Especially when combined with business growth. This is the background to software company EcoOnline's seminar in Almedalen on 25 June, organized together with long-term partner ZeroMission, which works with consulting services for climate calculations and climate accounts.

- Environmental issues and climate accounting have been high on the agenda for a long time, but it is clear that many find the transition work challenging. It is difficult to know exactly what applies, where responsibilities end or what even counts as sustainable energy today. Our ambition is to offer a better understanding of the regulations, which sustainability initiatives should be prioritized and provide examples of how businesses should think ahead," says Sandra Sköld, Marketing Manager at EcoOnline, and continues:
- "Our focus at the seminar is on energy and regulations, something that is really topical from several aspects. This is the first time we are organizing a seminar during Almedalen Week and we are looking forward to it with great anticipation.

Seminar in Almedalen with tips, examples and insights
The seminar will, among other things, go through the energy transition, today's legal requirements, how the regulations are expected to change in the coming years and highlight the most important insights from EcoOnline's annual survey "How safe and sustainable are Sweden's workplaces?". In addition to representatives from EcoOnline and ZeroMission , Fastighets AB Stenvalvet's Head of Sustainability, Staffan Söderberg, will participate to provide a concrete insight into how actors in the real estate industry are managing the transition work without compromising on access to energy.
