Since the end of 2023,ZeroMission has started a collaboration with Greentime on climate calculations for events. We have contributed with methodology, emission factors, etc. to be able to make the best possible calculation of all greenhouse gas emissions linked to various events.

An event can be a major conference, congress, arena concert, festival, etc. During a normal year in Sweden alone, around a thousand events are held, involving hundreds of thousands of visitors, and there is great potential here to reduce climate impact. This includes emissions from food, drink, local transportation, energy, visitors' travel to and from the event, etc.

Greentime, which was named Industry Winner 2022, was founded in 2014 and works extensively with sustainability around events and has, for example, helped the World Handball Championships, the Malmö Festival and the Stockholm Film Festival to act more sustainably. Greentime has, among other things, developed the Sustainable Event certification and the proprietary planning tool where ZeroMission now enters as a more active partner in terms of climate calculations. The tool has been upgraded and improved with a number of new features where the climate footprint can be estimated in all three scopes.

Launch on February 28

On February 28, it is time for the relaunch, which will take place through a webinar via Zoom. Our climate strategist Cecilia Hall will be there to talk about the updated climate calculator in Greentime's planning tool and contribute with knowledge about how organizers can think about the climate impact of their events.
