ZeroMission Appoints a new CEO and simultaneously strengthens business development

ZeroMission ’s board of directors has appointed Johan Hodell as the new CEO of . Johan has been with the company since 2023 and currently leads the Calculation and Strategy team. He will assume his new position on January 1, 2027. Outgoing CEO Henrik Juhlin will remain at ZeroMission in a newly created role focused on digital business development. This initiative is designed to meet the growing demand for comprehensive solutions in the climate sector.

The change in CEO is the result of a planned process in which the board has been searching for a leader who both has an in-depth understanding of the business and can drive it forward in line with upcoming market trends. During his years at ZeroMission , Johan has led the work on climate calculations and climate strategies for the company’s clients. He also has extensive experience as a consultant and a strong business acumen when it comes to designing and delivering consulting services.
“Climate action is no longer about producing a calculation and putting it in a drawer. It’s about strategy, goals, and concrete decisions. During my time as CEO, I want ZeroMission to help more companies make that journey—from their first climate report to science-based targets—where companies succeed in taking responsibility for their climate impact,” says Johan Hodell, incoming CEO of ZeroMission.
The handover will take place in stages this fall. Henrik Juhlin and Johan Hodell will work closely together until the transition is complete. For customers and partners , this transition will not result in any changes to their day-to-day collaboration.

Johan is stepping in as the new CEO at a critical time for the climate, as the UN Environment Programme’s (UNEP) “Emissions Gap Report” makes it clear that the world is heading toward a 2.8-degree rise in temperature. For the climate transition that is needed—where climate strategies are becoming business-critical— ZeroMission , plays a key role as a full-service provider of climate services to the business sector.
