Opus - high ambitions for all scopes in the value chain

November 25, 2019

A large part of Opus Bilprovning's business idea was to check emission levels. But they wanted to do more.

ZeroMission has helped Opus Bilprovning to calculate an average of the customers' carbon emissions during their trips to and from the workshop. Since Opus wanted a climate-neutral business, ZeroMission used the PAS 2060 standard that regulates the concept. The requirements include, for example, that all greenhouse gas emissions from all phases of the product's life cycle have been calculated, reported, reduced and offset in order to be described as climate neutral.

An inspiring way for us as a company to change our perspective - and by stepping outside the box we can take responsibility and help.

It is difficult for Opus to influence customers' car choices. Therefore, they chose to offset their customers' emissions and in this way, in collaboration with ZeroMission, were able to achieve climate neutrality. Opus carbon offsets by investing in the conservation and replanting of rainforest in the Amazon and the Fiji Islands.
