At ZeroMission , we are delighted to welcome ambitious interns to our organization. They give us an extra hand, while also allowing us to play a part in training the climate strategists of the future. This semester, we have Elin Canderyd with us. We caught up with her to ask a few questions about her internship!
ZeroMission offers a hands-on internship with a variety of tasks alongside our fantastic team of climate strategists. The internship provides excellent insight into the company’s climate efforts.
The job duties we offer include, for example, performing climate calculations, analyzing data, and reporting in accordance with regulations CSRD, developing climate strategies for companies in accordance with scientific models such as SBTi, conduct research and analysis of standards and legal requirements, assist in planning workshops, customer events, and seminars, as well as assist in preparing client presentations or evaluating climate projects.
Hi, Elin! What made you decide to do your internship at ZeroMission?
I’ve always wanted to work as a climate strategist so I can help drive concrete climate action within organizations. ZeroMission was particularly appealing because you help companies every step of the way—from assessment to concrete action—which is exactly the hands-on approach I want to learn more about!
"What I'm most looking forward to during my internship is getting to try out the role of climate strategist in real life—moving from theory to real-world cases," says Elin Canderyd, an intern at ZeroMission through Sustainergies.
What has been the most fun—and the most challenging—so far?
The most enjoyable and educational part so far has been working on ZeroMission’s own climate report and seeing how the numbers come together to form a complete picture. Learning more about the quality review process has also been very rewarding, as I’ve learned how thoroughly the supporting data and methodology need to be examined for the calculations to be accurate.
What experience are you most looking forward to gaining during your internship?
What I’m most looking forward to is getting to put the role of climate strategist to the test in the real world—moving from theory to real-world cases—while at the same time developing the tools I need to continue supporting organizations in their climate efforts in the future.
