ZeroMission Annual Report 2024

April 1, 2025

Our latest annual report for 2024. You can also read about how we have worked with our climate project portfolio, the impact of our work, and what our model for sustainability work looks like.

Foreword Henrik Juhlin, CEO of ZeroMission

2024 has been a year that has tested ZeroMission's values, resilience and perseverance. Since 2006, we have had the privilege of supporting companies in their efforts to reduce their climate impact, strengthen their business and take greater responsibility as suppliers. Over the years, we have seen how the most successful companies are those that have had the courage to stick to their long-term sustainability strategies - even when the market changes.

During the year, we have continued to grow in climate calculations and climate strategies, at the same time as we see a worrying trend where fewer and fewer companies choose to invest in climate solutions outside their own value chain. Contributing to climate action outside your own business is an important part of taking overall responsibility for your climate impact - and an issue we will continue to push forward. No matter what.

One of the biggest challenges of the year has been the media backlash that arose after Aftonbladet's series of articles about one of our projects in Uganda. After extensive independent reviews, our own visits and interviews with project participants, we can conclude that the reporting is unfounded and that the claims are incorrect. However, the consequences have been great, both for us as an organization where we have had to make some tough decisions, and for the people in Uganda that the project aims to support. At the same time, we have gained invaluable insights into the importance of transparency, independent audits and long-term relationships with project partners.

Despite the challenges, we are taking important steps forward. Our new strategic partnership with EcoOnline gives us access to a world-leading climate and sustainability reporting platform. Together, we are strongly positioned to help companies meet growing regulatory requirements, such as CSRD, and contribute to a more sustainable business world. We know that climate data will be a crucial competitive advantage. Not only for large companies, but also for smaller companies as key suppliers in value chains.

At a time when climate challenges are more acute than ever, we must dare to be resilient. We must dare to do more than just reduce our negative impact - we must be a positive force for change. We also need to be holistic in our work, as today we are exceeding six out of nine planetary boundaries. Only by looking at climate, biodiversity and social sustainability as a whole can we create real change.

We would like to thank our customers, partners and colleagues for your commitment and for sharing our vision of a more sustainable world. Together, we continue to work towards a future where businesses not only do less harm - but also do good.
